Welder’s weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. They use welding procedures of which there are four main types; MIG – Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), TIG – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Stick – Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-cored – Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW); to joint materials together in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. To become a welder at Anfield you must pass a welding exam.
